Programs and Development Manager
Sujan Sedhai is the Programs and Development Manager for PLEN. In this position, she is responsible for managing logistics for seminars and implementing fundraising goals, including grant writing, donor tracking, and alumni engagement. Prior to PLEN, Sujan served as the Program Coordinator and Scheduler to the Deputy Director of DC Public Charter School Board, where she was responsible for managing calendars, procurement and SRA policy oversight for 112 campus, and organizing quarterly conferences for external stakeholders, board chairs, and community members. From 2013-2016, Sujan worked with the Girl Scouts Council of Nation’s Capital. During her time there, she served as a Program Specialist overseeing grant-funded programs, and as a Membership Specialist managing, recruiting, and retaining over 1,100 volunteers from Western Prince William County. Born in Nepal, Sujan emigrated to Virginia at the age of 7. She is a proud first-generation college student graduating from Radford University with a B.A in English Literature and a minor in Women’s Studies. A strong advocate for women’s equality and equity, and a self-diagnosed expert on dumplings, Sujan is excited to carry out PLEN’s mission and expand its reach.
