Lauren Courchaine

Cyberspace Officer

Lieutenant Colonel Lauren A. Courchaine is an Operations Officer in the Cyberspace and Electronic Warfare Operations Division under the Directorate for Global Operations on the Joint Staff. In this position she supports the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff as the principal military advisor to the President and the Secretary of Defense by conducting information operations and sensitive operational planning in support of global missile defense, space, cyberspace, and ISR requirements.  Additionally, Colonel Courchaine leads joint and coalition interoperability efforts and provides advice to the Chairman on the global presentation of military forces in support of cyberspace operations.

Colonel Courchaine is a 2000 graduate of the United States Air Force Academy. She has served in various leadership roles to include squadron, wing, Air Staff, Major Command, Combatant Command and Joint Staff.  Colonel Courchaine has also deployed three times in support of Operations IRAQI FREEDOM and ENDURING FREEDOM. Prior to her current assignment, Colonel Courchaine was a student at the Dwight D. Eisenhower School of National Security and Resource Strategy at the National Defense University located on Ft. McNair in Washington, D.C
