Corey Malmgren has more than a decade of experience working in Washington, D.C. She is Executive Director of U.S. Policy and Government Relations at Merck. Before joining Merck, she served as Health Counsel to Senator Bill Nelson (D-FL), quickly rising to Deputy Legislative Director. As the Senator’s principal health policy advisor, Corey advised him on a range of legislative and regulatory issues related to Medicare, Medicaid, the Affordable Care and Act, and public health.
She previously served as Legislative Counsel for Congressman Sandy Levin (D-MI), where she advised him on health, budget, debt ceiling, Social Security and income security policy issues. In this role, she partnered with Ways and Means Committee staff, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, national experts, and local organizations to advance the Ranking Member’s messaging and policy goals.
Corey is a graduate of the University of Mary Washington and the Catholic University of America’s Columbus School of Law.
