Senior Legislative Analyst

Allyson Perleoni is a Senior Legislative Analyst at the Association of American Medical Colleges (AAMC) where she advocates on behalf of medical schools and teaching hospitals. At the AAMC, Allyson is engaged in Graduate Medical Education (GME), Medicare payment, and the physician workforce. Previously, Allyson was a Policy Associate at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP) where she lobbied policymakers, wrote regulatory comments, and provided information to federal agencies to advocate for the best interests of infants, children and adolescents.

Prior to her time at the AAP Allyson served as the Program Manager of Government Relations for the Vermont start-up company CapSite, which was later acquired by HIMSS Analytics. Allyson was responsible for creating and implementing CapSite's initial comprehensive government relations strategy, and was heavily focused on convening stakeholders and leaders in health information technology pricing and packaging transparency. Allyson has also worked as a Graduate Assistant at the Women & Politics Institute at American University, and as a Team Leader for the Vermont Legislative Research Service.

Allyson holds a BA in political science and women's studies from the University of Vermont, and an MA in political science from American University. In her free time she enjoys skiing, food, reading, and training for marathons.
